What changed in 2024
Indonesia replaced the talked-about "5-year nomad visa" with the E33G remote worker visa — 1 year, renewable once.
Requirements
- $60,000 annual income proof (bank statements, contracts)
- $2,000 in your bank account at application
- Employment contract with a non-Indonesian company
- Valid passport (18+ months)
- Health insurance covering Indonesia
Taxes
If you stay <183 days/year and earn from foreign sources, no Indonesian income tax. Cross 183 days → tax resident.
Application
Fully online via evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Processing 5–10 business days. Fee ~$300.
