Editorial policy
TravelOS publishes decisions people act on — whether to book, which visa to apply for, how much to budget. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.
Who writes and reviews
Guides carry a named author. Visa, entry-rule and safety content is additionally checked by an editor with responsibility for that region — see the editorial team. Datasets that are generated from structured data (visa routes, budgets, scores) are documented on the methodology page rather than attributed to a single writer.
Which sources we accept
- The destination's own immigration, border or foreign ministry site — always preferred.
- Supranational bodies (European Commission, ETIAS portal, IATA Travel Centre).
- Home-country advisories (US State Department, UK FCDO) as a second, independent read.
- Named statistical bodies for cost and connectivity data.
Forums, aggregators and AI output are never used as a primary source. If two accepted sources disagree, we publish the stricter requirement and say so.
How often we re-check
Priority pages are reviewed weekly; the rest of the library is on a rolling monthly cycle. Every page shows the date it was last checked. Last full review ; next scheduled review 2026-08-17.

- Refreshed eSIM data-plan pricing used in the Europe eSIM guide.
- Daily budget, mid-range and luxury costs re-sampled across all city guides.
- Airport-to-centre transfer times and fares re-checked.
- Best-season windows adjusted for shoulder-season pricing.
- Cabin and checked allowances re-checked for the major low-cost carriers.
- Security fast-track guidance updated for TSA PreCheck and Global Entry fees.
Corrections
Report an error to vladtrwork@gmail.com with the URL. Factual errors are fixed as soon as we can verify the correct value against an official source, and the change is noted in the review log above. We do not silently delete pages that were wrong.
Independence
Commercial relationships never determine a verdict, a ranking or a score. Full detail on the affiliate disclosure page.
What we will not claim
No guaranteed visa outcomes, no promised approval times, no accuracy percentages we cannot measure, and no "lowest price" claims. Where a figure is an estimate, we label it as one.
