A complete 7-day Tokyo itinerary for first-timers — Shibuya, Shinjuku, Asakusa, day trips to Hakone & Kamakura, with real flight and hotel costs.
What you'll spend

Day 1 — Shinjuku & arrival
Land at HND or NRT, ride the Limousine Bus or Narita Express. Drop bags in Shinjuku. Evening walk to Omoide Yokocho for yakitori + Golden Gai for tiny bars.
Day 2 — Shibuya, Harajuku, Omotesando
Shibuya Scramble at 9am, Hachiko statue, Center Gai. Takeshita Street, Meiji Jingu, Omotesando architecture walk.
Day 3 — Asakusa, Akihabara, Ueno

Romancecar to Hakone, Open Air Museum, Lake Ashi pirate ship, Owakudani black eggs, ryokan onsen night (or back to Tokyo).
Day 5 — TeamLab + Ginza + Tsukiji
Morning Tsukiji Outer Market sushi breakfast. Ginza shopping. TeamLab Planets in Toyosu (book 4 weeks ahead).
Day 6 — Day trip: Kamakura
Great Buddha, Hokokuji bamboo, Enoden tram to Enoshima, sunset at the beach.
Day 7 — Markets, last meal, depart
Toyosu fish market tuna auction (5am), brunch in Daikanyama, depart.

- Flights: cheapest in late Jan, early Feb, June (avoid Golden Week and cherry blossom peak unless that's the point).
